What was motive to kill the 'American Sniper?'

It is still not certain why former marine Eddie Ray Routh shot and killed also former marines Chris
Kyle and Chad Littlefield. Right now it is being said that Eddie Ray Routh has intense Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder and a personality disorder leading him to shooting and killing the two
men, but not really understanding or knowing his motives behind it. He shot Chris Kyle 4 times in
the back and once in the face and he shot Chad Littlefield 5 times in the back. The trial is still
underway to find out for sure what the reasoning for all this was, but for now this is where the trial
stands.
I wish I knew the whole story behind events leading up to moments before the shooting because I
know PTSD can be triggered in instances and can lead people to acting crazy. I'm wondering if the
sound of the gun shots brought back bad memories for Eddie and he snapped and shot at them to
stop it or if what he did was a malicious act towards Chris and Chad. Either way I think this was
awful and Eddie should probably be locked up being treated or put into jail.
