Victim's Family Kept Killer's Identity from Police

Road rage suspect knew victim, husband says, but the family kept his identity a secret for a week due
to the fact that he was a family friend to them.
I understand why they would feel the need to keep his identity, but this person should no longer
matter to them because of the fact that their family member is now dead because of this person.
They should've told the police as soon as they knew, but I also think it was brave that they told the
police at all, even if it was a week late.
