Social Security Scam - Addison Norman

Recently in Paulsboro a man has been identified for collecting fraudulent money from Social Security. Since 1984 Nicholas Serevino Jr. has been receiving checks that amount to around $243,000. Serevino had a father with a fake identity. His father worked two jobs one under a fake identity so when his father died Serevino was still able to collect his father's social security benefits. The scam was able to continue for so long because there had been no death record of Serevino's father's fake identity.
During FDR's administration Roosevelt he created the Social Security Administration to help those who were unable to work. The system was in effort to help the depression stricken nation out of poverty. It is disappointing to see a system created to help people being abused.

  1. It is a shame that so many things created for good are often manipulated to cheat or lie I order to satisfy a person's greed.
