Train Crash -Myles Bennett

A train crashed into a truck stuck on the railroad on Tuesday. The driver said he got stuck in the tracks and fled the scene to avoid injury. This is the second major train accident in one month and it is leading officials to wonder if they need to regulate trains more and take more precautions in the future.

Analysis: This relates to the rapid expansion of the country due to the railroads. The railroad and other industries grew rapidly. Because of the railroads, trade travel and the country operated more efficiently and rapidly. People could get from coast to coast faster than they could 100 years ago. The country began to seem smaller because everything took less time to get to and it all became more efficient.
