New Virus Discovered in Kansas - Sophie Potrykus 2nd

In the Spring of 2014, a 50-year old man fell to multiple tick bites while working on his property. Afterwards, he began to fall ill and sadly, 11 days after he was bit, he died of a heart attack. The CDC has labeled this new virus the "Bourbon Virus" and believes it was in fact, spread through the insect bites. The symptoms this man included a fever, tiredness, rash, and other body aches and nausea.
Right now, we are hoping that this disease stays at only one fatality. In order to prevent any other sicknesses, the CDC recommends people by using insect repellents and wearing long sleeved shirts and checking for ticks.
