Former “America’s Next Top Model” Contestant Killed In Triple Homicide

On Tuesday night, 19-year-old Mirjana Puhar, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, was killed in Charlotte, North Carolina, along with two other people, Jonathan Cosme Alvarado, 23, and Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, 19. Police have since made an arrest in what they are calling a triple homicide. Police believe that Puhar, Alvarado, and Gonzaga-Garcia all knew Rangel, the killer, and that the killings were drug-related.
Stories like these are always crazy and disheartening to me, but it hits a little harder
when it's someone I actually watched on television. Having seen her laugh and talk to
other people and then just knowing she's now dead. It's almost as if you've met this
person a few times because you know so much about them through watching them on
a reality television show. Even if she was mixed up in the wrong things, such as
drugs, it is still tragic to hear the news.
