Frozen Falls- Mackenzie McGregor 6th period

Recently, the intense cold in the north has done more than allow children numerous snow days. The frigid temperatures have led to the freeze of the Great Lakes. Now, the lakes are not completely frozen but iced over enough to draw the attention of tourists. The already astonishing Niagara Falls has garnered more attention for the beauty of its chilly surface. The leading artic lake is Lake Erie with 98% of the lake being frozen. Niagara Falls is not at that point, but the falls still have time to reach this level of iciness. The article even pokes fun at the Disney movie, "Frozen", by mentioning how "pleased" the ice queen and her followers would be. This blast of chilly temperatures has expanded to new levels as even the south is experiencing dangerously slippery roads. Hopefully the spring swiftly comes because the cold has bothered everyone, regardless of whether or not Elsa enjoys it.
