16 Reported Dead in Carnival Parade Accident - Sophie Potrykus 2nd

During Haiti's national Carnival parade, an accident involving an electrical shock on a float killed at least 16 people. A video from the incident showed a power line striking a man standing atop the float. The government has not yet elaborated on the incident, but seventy-eight other people have reported to be injured.
After this incident, 3 days of mourning were held in their memory. Hope that Haiti may be able to recover soon is strong. This shows Haiti's strong sense of togetherness and proud nationalism. We all hope for the best in the future for the families of those effected.
