It is almost impossible to escape ISIS once you have joined the group. However, one man finally escaped. At first, this man was enthusiastic, believing ISIS would be everything they said they would. He believed they would enforce the true Islamic belief, and take the correct role in the Islamic religion. The man who escaped soon realized this is not what they were doing. He saw the deaths and eventually understood that what ISIS was doing the people was not right, and that they were not at all who they said they were. He did not believe in the killing of innocent people, especially journalists, was right. He saw other things ISIS did that he didn't believe was true to the religion. Again, ISIS is extremely hard to escape from once you have joined, and those who are spies are impirsoned and questioned. They have very strict rules on escaping and spying, and although this man wasn't a spy, he has the possibility of being found and killed because of his almost impossible escape. He says he will miss the brothers he made, but definitely will not miss ISIS itself.
I'm really hoping more men and women will do what they can to escape and give information about ISIS. I do hope they get extra protection since they have a very risky chance of being killed. We have seen terrorist groups time and time again, but ISIS is going strong and has people joining quite frequently. This man relates to all people who have needed to escape inhumane things. It somewhat relates to how the people of the colonies wanted to escape Britain because of how they were treated. Similarly, this man escaped because he didn't like how people outside of ISIS were treated. I hope this man is able to live in peace after escaping.

ISIS is a pretty freaky group. THe woman who came and spooke a few weeks ago during 7th period talked about how they're even using all social media sites to leur in young adults/teens saying it is thier duty to their Muslum faith to come an join ISIS. Honestly though, it is only raising more national issues and in no way assomplishing what it says they do.
