Sara(h) Jenkins: Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Irma is now a Category 4 wind and the residents of Florida and Puerto Rico are preparing. Governors of both have declared State emergencies. Meteorologist predict the storm will only get worse in the following days. Personally I'd start preparing to move Inland. Many are hoping the storm turns and avoids land all together, but I think the risk is too high. The Governor of Florida is imploring citizens to be prepared. I suppose if one isn't going to evacuate, that is the next best option. As many of us are well aware Hurricane Harvey in houston has recently devastated it's residents. I can only hope Florida and Puerto Rico are more fortunate.

  1. After Harvey, it really sucks having to hear that there will be yet another hurricane. I hope more people will help out with any damages!

  2. Hurricane Irma, sounds like a girls' storm to me! Because like Irma Rangel. People are going to die and it could take literally years for people to rebuild communities. I am, however, impressed with the quick response from the public after Harvey. Thoughts?
