War of Words getting US nowhere good by Jules Stowe

It has been well known that there is a verbal battle of spiteful criticism and maybe-empty threats between Trump and Kim Jong-un, but is it well known that we seem to be coming closer and closer to military conflict? Trumps speech referenced "totally destroying North Korea" and it seems that that is become more and more likely. Military conflict between North Korea and America has been growing at an exponential rate, and the war planes guarding both our borders may indicate that this conflict will only escalate further.

This is extremely relevant to American History because it is a literal war. Of course we've had wars within all of our lifetimes, and there are obviously people still alive today that fought in said wars, but this one may be the most devastating we've had yet. Both the US and North Korea are armed with weapons capable of killing millions, and its just a matter of how far both world leaders will go to defend their countries from what they think is a threat.

  1. It is very scary since we have no idea what will be happening for the future. More than millions, both countries have the ability to destroy and kill the entire planet. Hopefully these statements are just empty threats because if not, there could be harsh effects.

  2. Hopefully no one takes action and try’s to attack the other country. We might not know what will happen in the future but all we do know is that if there is a fight between these 2 countries, millions and not billions of people will die.

  3. Hopefully there isn't a war but if there is, north korea is not in a good position.
