This weekend, Donald Trump spent most of his time attacking NFL player-protesters and boosting calls for a boycott of the league. The latest controversy began in Alabama, where Trump asked if it would be nice if to see an NFL owner get fired if they were seen kneeling to the national anthem. To many peoples' surprise, the crowd responded very enthusiastically. Because of his focus on this issue, Trump has set aside many issues, such as:
-disaster in Puerto Rico
-"war" with North Korea
-Alabama's senate race
-the new travel ban
-Obamacare lives
-DACA in the balance
-Jared's special emails
-tax reform
-his cabinet's post travel habits
-state voting systems that are being targeted by hackers
-facebook and the Russians
-rise of the German right
-the opioid epidemic
-why athletes are ACTUALLY protesting
To me, this EVEN FURTHER conveys the fact that Trump is mentally unprepared to handle the issues that occur in our country. I also do not understand why people in Alabama would ever agree to such a ridiculous idea(boycotting the NFL).
