Puerto Rico recently experienced the most devastating damage. Hurricane maria came quickly across and whipped out many homes and communities. Some see the damage as apocalyptic. Which shows it was really bad. They are lacking help in the most damaged parts of Puerto Rico. The governor is trying to emphasize as much as possible that Puerto Ricans are US citizens. The US needs to send help to these families however they are struggling/ lacking the ability to do so.
I can imagine what they must feel. Being classified as a US citizen, but not receiving the support you need and the since of community, especially in times like this is the worst. Puerto Rico and its people have had to deal with this forever, the restraint put on these US citizens. We all need to come together to help these people who are struggling to even get through a day. Some have lost everything.
I agree. That really sucks. Puerto Rico is considered a US territory, but right now it's not receiving any help from the US government or of the sort. There are many families who have just lost their homes, but we do nothing to help them. That doesn't seem right.
ReplyDeleteThe devastation of loss that they are enduring is heartbreaking. They rely on their citizenship for support and the fact that it is not following through effects the rebuild and restoring of their beloved home. I hope that the government will recognize communal outreach to help are fellow people.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad. Even though Puerto Rico is US territory, we don't give them the help and support they need from us. So sad to know they lost so many people. We should all be looking out for each other. How hard would that be?

ReplyDeleteIt is dissapointing that our country is treating territory of their own so poorly. They already have been in major financial destruction and this hurricane is only adding to their stress.
