North Korea's leader, Ri Long Ho, accused Trump of declaring war on North Korea. Ho assumed this information because of a tweet Trump sent out saying that North Korea "won't be around much longer". Since this tweet was sent out, North Korea has said it is ok for them to attack, in their words self-defense, our military even if they our not in the borders of their country.
This information is really scary to us because we have already had so many threats from North Korea and to them this tweet just took it up a notch. Hopefully North Korea will put this behind them and realize that this was not meant as a true threat and declaration of war. I read about this for my article and I completely agree, it's definitely really scary to see the things going on in this world.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, it just seems to be a game of 'chicken' between Trump and the North Korean regime at hand. There are definitely no right options to pick from when dealing with North Korea, but threatening the hostile and unpredictable nation is definitely a wrong choice.
