John Elway, The president of the NFL "wants to take politics out of football". I completely agree with him, sports should just be about entertaining spectators and fans rather than serving as a platform for any kind of politics. In my personal opinion theres enough violence between fans of different teams, theres no need to add any more to this with politics. There was a controversy between people about the football players kneeling during the anthem , the controversy could've been avoided altogether if the players just respected the anthems and avoid mixing politics with sports, some things just aren't meant to be mixed together and this is one of them.

I agree with you, sports should just be about sports. A football player shouldn’t be rated on his political believes on game day but instead on his performance.
