Bobby Pinnock-35 PEOPLE ARRESTED After Protest Held for Family Being Deported
http://www.wfsb.com/story/36442532/rally-set-for-meriden-couple-who-were-ordered-to-leave-the-country
After a rally was held for a family facing deportation, 35 were arrested after the peaceful protest.
I hope this isn't a foreshadow of the future, as the United States seems to be adopting more harsh immigration policies.

Freedom of speech should't result in arrests or prosecutions. If it really was a peaceful protest, then there is no need to for people to go to jail.

ReplyDeleteProtesting is one of our rights as American citizens. Why punish peacefull protest but then when violence comes into the picture everyone
suddenly cares? Also does trump think how much of the working lower class immigrants
make up if there is no lower class our country as a whole can suffer.
While you didn't write much so I don't know the entire situation, it looks like free speech is being limited in this country. This is scary that all of this came from a simple peaceful protest. Hopefully this does not continue into the future.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad. People should even have to protest for rights that should have been given to them in the first place.
