After Hurricane Irma hit Florida, access to gas is limited, similar to what happened in Texas after Harvey. Before the Hurricane even hit, people rushed to stock up on gas and created a shortage before the hurricane caused one. Almost 60% of gas stations are without gas, making it difficult for people to return to their homes after evacuating. And with ports being closed, it’s very difficult for them to restock the storage. Power is also out in many places, so any pumps that had gas are inaccessible. With every hurricane that hits, gas shortage is always a major problem, so the government might need to find a solution to the problem, but there may not be a way to fix it.

Its really appalling that this even happened and the city does not have any instructions on how people should evacuate which just causes problems (traffic jams, mass hysteria etc.)
ReplyDeleteReally sad to hear should've had a plan for situations like this so that other states can get involved and help
