Hurricane Maria - Victoria Bruno
After already having hurricane Irma pass by, hurricane Maria appears. Maria is already posing a massive threat to the Carribean islands. It started off as a level three and is exepected to reach level five-or at least-level four. One of them, Puerto Rico, has already issued a state of emergency. Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló stated on a Fox news interview that it could "possibly be the worst hurricane to hit Puerto Rico in a century," and has made a statement to find shelter somewhere safe or a state shelter. Puerto Rico has already begun rationing supplies like water, canned food, etc,.
It is unclear if hurricane Maria will effect the United States.
Another possible catastrophe in such a short amount of time. I find it quite odd as to why natural disasters are happening, consecutively, in such a short amount of time. Some speculate it may be a cause of climate change, while others think of it as a coincidence. Either way, I hope the people affected stay safe.

I'm really concerned as to where the people will evacuate considering the island doesn't offer much land with enough protection and support away from the coast.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad to see a region devastated days earlier by Hurricane Irma just to get hit by Hurricane Maria after surviving such a deadly storm. I'm wondering how will effect the economy of Puerto Rico and how they will recover from these storms.
