Hurricane Harvey has been going on for quite some time now, and it is getting out of hand. The coast guard is starting to receive around 1,000 calls per hour regarding the hurricane. Since this morning, the coast guard has saved 1,000 people. Apparently, there are shots being fired at boats that are not rescuing everybody. Trump announced that he is visiting Texas on Tuesday as he also said that the future of this storm will be " bigger, better, stronger than ever before." He predicts that this will all be over soon. I disagree. I feel that the recovery time of this storm will be a very long time. This storm has been so destructive and has destroyed so many homes. An estimate of 8,000 people have been in Houston shelters lately. This storm is still continuing and getting worse. I feel terrible for all the victims and I feel that everyone needs to help and donate to all the destroyed homes. I am glad that we have organizations to help them.

I agree with you i think we as US citizens must participate in the helping of the hurricane victims.One can never know when nature might hit your own home and then your the one in need of help.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, especially living in Texas the weather is always so unpredictable. Showing that we care and put efforts in relief work, it'll make a distinct impression on others.
ReplyDeleteI find it extremely devastating that this hurricane has taken so many lives, damaged so much property, and has even cause people to turn against each other in these desperate situations. Throughout this tragedy though, Iv'e noticed that people all around the country have come to together to help protect and care for these victims; I can't help but feel thankful for those people.
ReplyDeleteOLIVIA WALL- I think it is awful that that had to occur in our home state. It is so nice to see that everyone is coming together as a community and trying to help anyone in need. Many people are displaced and hurt which is devastating. I agree with you, I think that although there are so many people trying to help, it will take a long time.
