Not Everyone Watches Horror of Harvey -Alex Travell

http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/03/us/houston-texas-harvey-heroes-trnd/index.html

For almost two weeks, families have watched as a countless number of homes are torn apart along the
southeastern coast of Texas. Although, not everyone just sat back and watched. Millions of people have already given money to the families who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Also, many people have traveled to the affected areas to help along side FEMA. Plus, these people expect no reward for their contributions.

I love being able to hear that there are still good people in this world. After having to listen to all the crap going on, it's nice to listen to things like this for a change. The idea of people coming together to help those affected by Harvey really makes me feel as if there is a sliver of hope for this country. I hope the people of this nation continue to do things like this, and more often too. That would really make this country great again.

  1. I feel incredibly bad for the victims of hurricane Harvey, but at the same time I feel that many people have come together to help those in need. In this hard times of fighting and division that is what we need to see in people. From this horrible event I feel like I have gain a little more faith in people. I hope people can help each other not only in times of need but just in general.

  2. We are not as divided as the press would like to make us think, and we are not defined by the small majority of crazy fringe groups. This is what we really are!
