Jeson Aviles - Obama to speak out if Trump ends DACA

Created on June 15, 2012 and commencing its purpose on August 15, 2012, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program presented an opportunity for undocumented immigrants, specifically to those who entered the United States as minors. Barack Obama, the creator of the program during his presidency, has planned to speak up against the President, Donald Trump, who is said to be planning to announce his intention on ridding of the DACA program. Expected to deliver the news on the 5th of September, 6 months will be available for Congress to act before Trump terminates the program which allows two-year work permits to those who illegally arrived at a young age. The "Dreamers" were assured promised protection during the re-election for Obama, while in April, Trump claimed he had no intention on deporting the Dreamers and notifying them to "rest easy". Multiple factors exist that show Obama as being a beacon for reformation on good intentions and the morally correct, such as avoiding the clamor for attacking Trump by calling him out, regardless of the numerous occasions where the current President has childishly attempted to establish a halt to Obama's legacy. This issue is one of the few issues where Obama feels morally compelled to speak up about.

Written at 12:31 AM EDT of September 4th, 2017 and last being updated at 1:11 AM EDT of the same day by Michael Grunwald, a senior staff writer for POLITICO Magazine, truly expresses the urgency to deliver information to the public. The fight and protest to protect the DACA program and its Dreamers is an extension of the pride and fear the people possess due to the everlasting turmoil for freedom and acceptance. Destroying the extremely helpful Dreamers' program would cause a gap in the country, in all aspects of culture, economy, and social communication. The article seems to share the concern and worry of the country's immigrants, both legal and illegal; being an individual who knows loved ones who benefit from DACA, too. A reflection of discrimination, recent issues such as the ban for military service by transgender soldiers and the proposal of a border wall are all connected by a single point, Trump. Although a sense of hope that the program can be saved by its founder, history has repeatedly shown the result of tension, a popular outcome - physical response.

  1. I'm afraid that the DACA will not be saved. It seems like America never agreed on anything. I believe that their will be to many rallies and lawyers going against ending DACA, because most of America are immigrants and the DACA program are for younger people who may not even remember the place of where they're from.
