In this fairly short article, China has been found placing unfairly high taxes on imported US steel, costing American firms over $250 million in exports. This apparently hasn't been the first time either, as the US reportedly brought the case to the World Trade Organization, before, in 2010, but China claimed US prices were unfairly low in the Chinese market and were allowed to get away with it, even though the WTO ruled that China was in the wrong and needed to lower their tariffs. The US is looking to negotiate with China within the next couple of weeks on its own, but if the talks don't lead to any satisfactory changes, the case will again be deferred to the WTO.
