Woman travels world without mishap, goes missing after walk in Texas

In a case of sheer irony, Leanne Hecht Bearden, a 33-year-old woman who traveled the world for 22 months without facing any disasters, went missing in San Antonio, Texas after going out for a walk. She has not returned to the residence where her husband was staying in a week.

According to the Garden Ridge Police Department, there is no indication yet of her disappearance being correlated to criminal activity. Authorities are continuing to stay on top of their search, while friends and family have starting using private helicopters. Her loved ones are incredibly concerned with her disappearance, with no evidence leading to why or how she could have disappeared, leading to a number of frantic speculations. The Garden Ridge police sent out a "Missing Person Alert" immediately after Bearden's vanishment. Following this, the police department has arranged a formal speech in the community on Saturday.

While interviews dictate that Bearden had no enemies, the act of random kidnapping is still a possibility. Conversely, the interviews have stated that no criminal activity relating to kidnappings has been evident yet, so there is a chance that the woman could have trapped herself somewhere or fallen in an area she could not get out of. I could sit here and speculate, but suffice to say, I hope this wasn't the act of kidnapping and the lady will turn up soon. I would imagine her family is completely devastated, and speculations could only intensify their devastation.
