Heather Jensen is on trial to investigate the deaths of her two sons, 2 and 4 years old, who were trapped in Jensen's car while she got into another car to have sex. She reportedly turned the child lock on the doors so her children couldn't get out, and when the heater in the car became too much, the toddlers overheated and died. The 911 call she made to the police makes her seem scared and genuinely worried and morose about the status of her kids, but prosectors are painting her to be a selfish mother who didn't care about her children.
When i first read this, I couldn't believe it. How is someone 1) so inconsiderate to other human beings and 2) so stupid to keep the heater on? Her children weren't old enough to change the temperature in the car, unbuckle their carseats, or roll the windows down... they were trapped and abandoned. Could she not have sex with her boyfriend, like, at her house? There were so many ways to avoid this problem and outcome. However, she sounded terrified that something was wrong, so did she not see the harms in leaving her boys trapped in a car? That just makes her look a lot dumber (sorry for being vituperative) There are just people in America who are so ignorant and are incapable of making smart decisions, and it costs them their life or reputation. RIP to the little boys, it's sad to say.
