Madison Ceurter 5th period: Justin Bieber: See his carefree days before the arrest

I had to do this article on Justin Bieber because I love him, but that doesn't mean that I agree with the choices that he has been making.  He has been enjoying his days off of concerts and making music by getting new tattoos, snowboarding with friends, smoking, and hanging out in Miami.  He has been getting more and more tattoos lately and I think it is because he is trying to get attention.  All of these young artists like Miley Cyrus say they all want to be different, but why?  They don't need to be dramatically different to get attention.  There are plenty of artists that are just as popular that haven't done crazy stuff in their career.  Justin Bieber has not been making the right choices, but if you think about it, every teenager that age has gone through some of the same things like smoking.  Why do we have to make it a big deal when famous people do it, but not when our peers do it.  I just think that is very hypocritical.  One thing that I do not agree with his Justin drag racing in Miami while he was intoxicated, there is no reason for this and there is nothing you can say to back him up on this one.  What he did was wrong and hopefully he will learn from it.  I still love him so so much and I love his music!!

  1. I'm getting tired of hearing about all of his idiotic decisions. I personally don't even like his music, and from all that he does, he really doesn't seem like a good person. It's gone way past the point of "getting attention" or simply "making mistakes".

  2. oh my gosh i'm so glad you condemn the drag race thing. but honestly, i'm gonna have to disagree with you on some other points. the kid's a punk, i'm sorry. he doesn't seem to treat anyone with respect or basic decency (see beached whale incident and his opinions on rape). i realize that he's young, but he's not a child anymore. and if anything living in the spotlight should RAISE his awareness of his surroundings and what he should and shouldn't say. instead, he drunk drives. honey, i get that you're a fan, but he could've killed someone and he deserves jail time for that. i don't think it has anything to do with seeking attention. think about it, he lives in a constant wash of attention. my opinion is that he thinks he can just do whatever he wants because of said attention

  3. I think the reason why celebrities are criticized for their actions is because they are supposed to be role models (in some way) for their fan base. Because his fan base is a bunch of naive girls, he paints this picture that girls want this type of guy, and they are supposed to want this type of guy. Society doesn't want their little sweethearts to be with this "misguided kid".

  4. It makes me angry that his bond was $2500. Us common people have to pay way more than that for college tuition. He utterly deserves jail time.

  5. I find it really frustrating to see all of these terrible choices he is making. He is setting himself up for not only failure, but as a bad role model for his fans. Think about all of the young girls that adore and obsess over him...This image he is making for himself is gonna cause him to lose fans, and if he doesn't fix himself, his career will go completely down the drain.
