Montana Dalton 2nd- rediscovered 1960 tape of MLK discussing Kennedy.

Just recently in Tennessee, an audiotape of an interview was discovered consisting of a conversation from Kennedy to Martin Luther King's wife. They talk of King's arrest and how Kennedy is determined to have him released. Many historians claim this notion of Kennedy to be a benefit in while running for president. However, it was not Kennedy alone that got King out, which was determined around 2012. Many debate whether King actually was more of a benefit to Kennedy rather than vise versa.

This discovery just goes to show the uncovering of our history never ends. Also, that Kennedy might have only wanted to help free King to help himself as a tactic to gain votes. However that is open to interpretation.

  1. Very interesting. It's crazy what people will do to get to the top. I personally do think Kennedy might have done that, purposely for more votes.
