Summary:
A couple from New London, New Hampshire was recently engaged with the help of a few police officers. The couple met after being arrested at a party their freshman year of college. After passing a breathalyzer test, the two were released but began dating. The officer who arrested the them four years ago, helped take part in this unordinary proposal by pretending to arrest Van Vilet. After patting down Vilet, a boxed engagement ring is revealed and girlfriend, Samantha Labo is left stunned and in tears. Police Chief Anderson says he has never taken part in a scenario like this in his twenty years on the force.
Analysis:
This definitely tops all of the recent bizarre proposals lately. I think this was a creative idea that Van Vilet devised and all of the planning he put into it was worth it. Reaching out to the same officer from years ago, really added a personal and sentimental touch to it all. I hope the couple is really happy together!
