Felicia Padilla 5th period "Can you test drive a home?"
Buying a home is both an exciting decision and a hesitant one. You aren't quite sure if all of your furniture will fit in your bedroom or if your kitchen has enough room for your kids. When some people are considering buying a house they go the extra mile and decide to give it a "test drive" by sleeping in it. This allows them to find out if their neighbors are noisy, and how the water pressure is.. Although I had never heard about this, according to some real estate agents it does happen. Allowing prospective buyers to sleep in the house can actually be a benefit for the seller because it ups their chances in making a faster sale. Apparently it is common among both vacation and retirement homes. Some "sleepovers" require a nightly fee and/or a security deposit. Most people suggest designing a sleepover contract.

That sounds pretty wonderful. Unless while in the empty house paranormal activity happens

ReplyDeleteI think this is such a good idea. I would hate to buy this house then have so many problems with it , instead of just a sleepover to know how I really feel. this probably saves a lot of changed minds
That is actually really smart. I mean, we test drive cars are even spouses by dating them. It makes sense that we should have the option to test drive houses.

This sounds really neat and useful! It really helps you get a better view/opinion of exactly how safe and manageable the place is going to be.
