Ex-student finally musters up strength to confront. Peyton Wilson 5th

A woman who says a female teacher from middle school sexually abused her for years decided to confront the teacher -- and post video of the exchange on YouTube.
Within hours, the educator resigned from her job at another school in California. Police launched an investigation. And the former student, who once felt powerless, now says she feels vindicated knowing the ex-teacher is no longer working with children.

I think it is remarkable that it took her this long to come forth. Whatever that teacher did to her caused her to be traumatized for over ten years until she finally felt that it was okay to report it. For a teacher to do that and know it is wrong it just sickening. Jamie called the teacher later and asked what she would do if a student came to her and confessed she was seeing a teacher and she said that of course she would report it to law enforcement. So she knew it was wrong and immoral and would put her job in jeopardy, but she did it anyway and scarred Jamie. I can't believe these people.

  1. It is terrible that people who are supposed to educate children would abuse them. I think however, this girl should have gone to the police with the video rather than posting it on youtube.

  2. That is horrible, it just shows how traumatic events in life only leads to mental blocks of courage!

  3. It's a very good thing that that woman is no longer working with children. But posting that video to YouTube was not the way to handle the situation.

And as far as the other woman confronting her feelings goes... Well, as they always say, better late than never.

  4. I think that it's great that this girl finally spoke up, but I agree with Alix. A youtube video isn't a good way to handle such a serious issue. I also think the girl should have spoken up sooner, and to a small extent I think it's a bit selfish of her not to have spoken up earlier, for the sake of other students.

  5. i totally agree with camille. she should've gone to the police right away at least for their sake. nothing to be done now, of course, but...yeah, remember these are not the best methods, ladies and gentlemen.
