"Student in custody after possible bomb found at Houston-area school" - Natalie H. - Class 2

A student is under arrest after having found a possible bomb in said student's backpack buy the school authorities. This article was featured on Yahoo! News eight hours ago today (1/13/14).
Just within the campus of Seven Lakes High School in Katy, a suburb in Houston, Texas, a bag was lying around concealing what seemed to be an explosive device. The suspected owner of the bag was taken into custody after the following discovery. No further information has been released since then.

I found the article to be a little sparse of information, but then again, what would there be to say? "Oh yeah, we caught a kid bringing a bomb to school." The situation as taken care of promptly, so there isn't really anything to go on about. I just feel that this piece of information was a sign as to how schools have had less tolerance towards suspicious activity such as this. After what has happened in recent years, it's good to be safe than sorry.

I agree, safety has picked up and been a leading issue in schools and a lot of other paces in the country these past few years.

  2. Seeing as the amount of info. given about the case, its most likely safe to assume this was a bigger problem only at first glance. However, there seems to be no sure way of knowing if in fact thats true.
