U.S. Gives 50 Tons of Ammunition to Syrian Rebels - Olivia Browne (Period 6)

U.S. military cargo planes gave 50 tons of ammunition to rebel groups overnight in northern Syria, using an air drop of 112 pallets as the first step in the Obama Administration's urgent effort to find new ways to support those groups. All pallets were delivered successfully.

Analysis: The Author is Barbra Starr and she appears to be a non-bias party. This was published on October 11th, 2014 which adds urgency to the article. I had no prior knowledge except that their was a conflict in Syria. This was written for the American public. It was written to inform the american public of the conflicts going on in Syria and how America is reacting to it. It is significant because it shows the part America plays in the Syrian Conflict. This relates to how the French aided the Continental Army during the American revolution with man power and ammunition.
