Development on Biker Shootout// Arianna Sotero 1st period

Summary: About 5 months ago in Waco, Texas, a corral style shoot-out between two biker gangs occurred inside a Twin Peaks restaurant. Security video footage, interviews from witnesses, and crime scene pictures have been released recently, revealing new details about the violent episode between the Bandidos and the Cossacks. These new photos show the graphic aftermath: a parking lots littered with guns, knives, blood, and bodies. A court document also shows that there were 480 weapons were found on site that day. Also, 177 arrests were made. Today, not one of these bikers that was arrested remains in jail and not one has been charged with murder. It is also unknown, even with the footage, which gang fired the first shot.
Analysis: Before this article, I had already heard about this incident that occurred between the two gangs. It was scary to hear about since this event since it was so local. This article had no specific audience, but I feel that it a possible negative impact on it's reader. No arrests have been made for any of these bikers arrested, so these murderers are just going about their daily lives again. I do understand that most of these bikers were innocent, but the ones who did commit the crime need to not only pay the price, but do the time. This all goes back to our "right to bear arms". We need to consider this incident when we think about gun control in America.
