Spring Valley High School- Bella Morris, 5th period

A few days ago, an incident at Spring Valley High School and South Carolina occurred when a police officer walked into a classroom and pull a student by the hair onto the ground and proceeded to drag the student across the floor of the classroom. When watching too brutal video, you can clearly see how uncomfortable all the other student’s in the classroom are. It shows that people are now afraid to speak up to a police officer because of the amount of police brutality that has occurred. Actions were taken to make sure that the officer was fired from his duty. When is enough, enough? There is a new story every week on police brutality and it needs to end now. This article relates back in history when african americans were made fun of via Minstrel theatre, with performances of black face in a comedic way. The way that people treat other people can be very disturbing… This shows that it is still present today.
