South Carolina is still recovering from the extreme floods that have devastated the state. According to CBS News reporter David Begnaud, 21 people have been killed, 27 dams have failed, 129 more dams are in jeopardy of failing, and more than 300 roads and bridges remain closed as flood warning are still in effect in several parts of the state, There are several citizens helping people in need by transporting people as well as food supplies by car and by boat. Some roads are submerged in as much as 15 feet of water!
I feel terrible about the hundreds of people displaced by the flooding. 15 feet is as tall as the roofs on some peoples houses! The article doesn't mention where all of these people have been relocated to so i wonder if they have made shelters for them or if they are all staying with family members or in hotels.
