Oregon Shooting At a College Alexis Williams
A deadly shooting went down at Umpqua Community College. They have confirmed that ten people were killed in this shooting including the shooter and nine were injured. The shooter shot the victims in the head,throat and torso. He used a handgun to shoot the victims and even shot his teacher.The motive is unclear, but police thinks it might be a hate crime. His name was Christopher Harper Mercer. When the shooter's mother heard what was going on at the college she was afraid her son would get hurt. However when she was notified that her son was the shooter, she was shocked and very upset. But apparetly the shooter's mother Mrs. Harper knew about her sons obsession with guns.he had one as well. She would post many pictures of different firearms she had and about how she was proud that she had them.
This shows how in this incedent the 2nd ammendment "right to bear arms" was taken advantage of and used in the wrong way.The 2nd ammendment is supposed to be used only for protection or hunting purposes not toharm others.Should we take away the second ammendment or maybe limit it, so that only a certain number of firearms can be in one house.Many times incidents like school shootings have occured. Maybe it's time to get rid of the second ammendment.

It's terrifying that people like this have such easy access to weapons in the U.S
ReplyDeleteIt was said that the shooter asked everyone what their religion was and if it wasn't the religion he liked or believed in he would shoot them. It is said how people are judging, killing, and criticizing based on who they are or what they believe in.

Getting rid of the 2nd amendment wont solve crap. People kill people not guns. If the 2nd amendment was revoked people would just do it illegally and complain about it . THe worst part is their is always going to be that one person who wants to kill people. They will then have to resort to other weapons butt the point is, it will still happen.-Bernadette Negrete
