The following blog post talks about the flooding in South Carolina that took place yesterday. It talks about how the people of South Carolina are still in danger, as the roads are caving in officials are warning people to stay in. Nevertheless, there are people who still try to go out, like a couple that ventured out. The rescue squad was able to rescue the woman but not the man, who drowned in their car that fell off the road into the flood water. The article also talks about how there were many more lives lost unfortunately to the historic flood and about the nine dam failures.
I think the reason this article was written was to express the danger still present in South Carolina even though the rain is gone, there are still many life threatening issues out there. The article was trying to express this to not only the people in South Carolina but to people worldwide. This reminds me of "Tropical Storm Bill" that took place in Galveston, Texas this summer. Of course it wasn't as bad as the South Carolina flood, but they broadcasted it so the people in Houston, which included me at the time, knew what was going on as well as people in other states.
