Vaccines
are a must in most states for all school age children. California only just recently required that
all public school children be vaccinated.
However, the law does not require that all school age children be
vaccinated, just the ones attending public school. It was 2014 when the governor of California
signed this law. He was forced to do
this when an outbreak of measles happened at Disneyland in California. How sad to have to have an emergency in a
state to have safety measures put into place for the children of your
state. Another reason to be thankful for
my parents because they were smart enough to realize that as a human being I
will be exposed to the world and should be vaccinated to help protect me from
diseases.
Analysis:
Benjamin Radford wrote this article in July of 2015 as an
explanation as to why California finally put into place safety requirements for
the children of California from communicable diseases. He stresses that it took an outbreak of
measles, which was contracted, at one of the happiest places on Earth,
Disneyland before the government would finally do something.
Even though you can never be completely resistant to
communicable diseases, vaccinations can surely provide a little more protection
against contracting the disease and if by chance you do contract a strand of a
disease that you have been vaccinated for, the chances of survival are much
higher. Who would not want those odds
when talking about deadly diseases? I
know I sure would and I am very glad that my parents made the decision to
vaccinate me.
Without vaccinations I believe that more children would
die. Even though it has not been proven
that ALL children who have been
vaccinated have developed autism, it has been proven and shown that children
who have been vaccinated have had much less severe symptoms and their chances
of survival greatly increased when they contracted measles or some other type
of communicable disease.
Making vaccines a law does nothing more than create a
platform for the crazies to stand up and scream that their civil rights or
their parenting rights are being violated.
Just because you are an American, use some common sense and protect your
children. Be a part of the people who
stand up for vaccines and promote them to keep our children safe. After all, Americas children are the future,
lets help keep them here!

California has really seemed to be upping their political game lately; Their increased funds to decrease poverty, the Right to Die Act, now vaccines. Hmm...

Wow. Just now? Well at least California is fixing problems that could have easily avoided. (Alejandra Hernandez 6th period)
ReplyDeleteI have seen that California is doing a lot politically, they are improving their homeless situation, they are addressing their drought head on, and now taking on the problem of vaccines
