Trump makes "Pocahontas" crack at Navajo Event - Sam Wood

During an event at the White House honoring the Navajo code talkers, World War II veterans who were critical to the war effort, Donald Trump referenced a nickname for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D) of Massachusetts. He called her "Pocahontas" as he did often on the campaign trail. (She claimed Native American heritage  on a college application, a heritage which has never been proven) Here is the full comment to the code-talkers, "I just want to thank you because you are very, very special people. You were here long before any of us were here, we have a representative in Congress who has been here a long time ... longer than you -- they call her Pocahontas!" After the comment, people were silent shocked by his remarks.
I think that the president isn't very presidential and does not represent our country well. He does not seem to think before he speaks.

  1. That's rude to say something like that to a veteran, especially one so vital during World War II. He says a lot of things like how people who kneel during the national anthem disrespect veterans, while he disrespects veterans himself personally.

  2. Trump's actions at this entire event were rude and entirely disrespectful. To make a joke like this is disgusting and horrible. I hope people are starting to realize how much common sense he lacks.
