Man Pointing Imitation Gun Shot By Police - Amy Mills

A police officer (who was off-duty) shot and injured a man who pulled out an imitation gun on the officer in the Parks Mall (in Arlington, Texas) on Sunday afternoon. The police officer was responding to a theft report and saw the suspect running to the food court. The suspect then pulled out a (fake) gun. The police officer shot the suspect, thinking it was a real gun. The suspect was taken to the hospital. Nothing else has been released yet.

  1. Ok. Really? This isn't police brutality. The guy is just seriously being stupid. Who isn't going to shoot you if you pull out something that looks like a real gun? That police officer had an extremely justified reason to shoot him. At the least the shot didn't kill the guy.

  2. I also read about this. I read that the mall was very crowded when all this was happening, so the police officer (whether on duty or not) definitely did the best thing for the safety of the people.

this really makes you wonder who's fault is it. If you know police brutality is a subject that is very delicate right now, why would you pull out a gun on an officer.
