Jack Boreham- Russian jet makes 'unsafe' intercept of US Navy aircraft

On Saturday over the Black Sea a Su-30 fighter jet made an "unsafe" intercept of a US P-4A Poseidon aircraft. "The US aircraft was operating in international airspace and did nothing to provoke this behavior from the Russian fighter jet. The behavior was described as unsafe, because the Su-30 fighter jet crossed in front of the US plane from right to left engaging it's afterburners coming as close to 50 ft of the plane. This caused the US plane to take a 15 degree turn and receive violent turbulence. The US Navy said the incident lasted for only 24 minutes. The most recent incident occurred in June over the Baltic sea when a Russian Su-27 fighter flew withing 5 feet of a US Air Force RC-35 reconnaissance aircraft. There have been several incidents in the Baltic Sea, an area where Russia, the US, and NATO all operate in close proximity. Since the annexation of Crimea in 2014 Russia has increased it's military presence.

It is terrifying to know that these incidents happen frequently. They could solve this by some simple communication. I also wonder what the consequences will be if there is ever a crash or an attack on another plane and how it might affect us back in the US.

If there was any type of crash or something, I think it would start a way, but then again Trump and Putin have be friendly recently- so maybe Trump would have some speech saying how the whole thing was an accident or something. With these incedents happening so regularly, I’m surprised that Trump is still being all cozy with Putin- that just looks really.... really bad. Maybe I just don’t have a good grasp on Politics.

  2. This is annoying that the Russians are treating us like scum in this way and so far we've done nothing to show that this is not ok. Russia has repeatedly provoked our country with us doing little to nothing to solve this. It will be interesting to see what the Trump administration will do in the future.

  3. Why does trump deny meeting with Russia, but several people close to him have admitted to it?
