Isabella Hambleton-Black Friday gun sales

This years Black Friday brought in some of the highest gun sales ever. This many gun sales means more FBI background checks on every individual that purchased these guns. One store stated that their highest selling gun was a pistol designed for home defense. With Trump in office, more gun sales have proceeded to happen. Even though these gun sales are being mostly used for hunting and safety purposes, you can never know what someone might do with it.
It's good that the FBI is doing background checks on all of these people purchasing these guns because you never know what they might do. Through these background checks, we may be able to prevent things such as shootings which have been prominent in out society recently. Doing this will make sure that the right people are purchasing these guns and not people that mean harm with them.

  1. It's good that the FBI is committed to doing more background checks, but the question remains, how can the government keep mass shootings from happening?

  3. Ok I agree that background checks are helpful, but will they be thorough enough when so many people are trying to buy a gun? I'm scared that gun stores are gonna put in as little effort as possible in order to just sell the gun.

  4. The fact that guns in particular had a high sales rate, you never know what they could be using them for, but it's important that a close eye is kept on those people.

  5. I agree that it is good that there are background checks being done, because it is important to know who the guns will be in the hands of.

  6. I think background checks must happen at all gun stores so that nothing gets put in the wrong hands.
