Babies born addicted to morphine -Sam Blumberg

This is a big problem that i've never heard of until reading this article: babies being addicted to morphine. Arising from America's opioid epidemic, a report found that the number of babies born with addiction that developed in the womb increased 5x from 2000 to 2012. Called Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, this disease affects the children even after they lose their addictions in the form of developmental delays and attention deficit disorders. Many of these children received this syndrome from their mothers who used drugs as they were pregnant. This must stop because come on they're just babies chill out with the morphine moms.
