NASA Uses Students to Help Virtual Reality Technology

The development of such virtual reality can be used for almost everything. It can further geological research and repair orbiting satellites. Scientists can be able to display fiery objects from the sun and be able to few the magnetic fields pulse around the earth. A new talent source in fact is being used to develop the pilot programs: young people, some still in high school. They "bring a certain ease with learning new technologies."

I think its neat that they are using modern entertainment technology for, instead, scientific purposes. I also think it is amusing (in a good way don't get me wrong) that they have turned to a much younger group of people, who in fact are barely older than us and often play more video games than most, to be the main "up-bringers" to such a "sophisticated" task.

  1. How can I volunteer? Sounds like fun and a great program. Hope they have snacks and stop to shower!
