A New Rise In Saudi Arabian Women's Rights by Isabel Wyatt

In the near future, a law prohibiting women in Saudi Arabia to enjoy live sports will be lifted. This is an enormous step into the loosening of the grip that the country's law has on its female citizens. This will allow women into three stadiums. The seating arrangements are not yet decided. In general, places that women and men can be in the same area, there are rules put in place to separate them.

Emanuella Grinberg wrote this article for CNN in late October. Before reading this, I knew that there were very strict laws in Saudi Arabia oppressing women. This article is a positive thing to hear, showing that change still continues to happen and makes the world better for different people.

  1. It's crazy how being let into a stadium to watch live games is a big thing for them but isn't a big thing for us. I hope that in the future, they'll stop being oppressed or at least close to not being oppressed anymore.
