Conflict is still very prevalent in Syria. I say still as I remember doing a project about this very conflict four years ago as an 8th grader. Basically there is a massive fight over land.
Analysis: The central cause of this concept is simple, money and power. Unfortunately we live in a world where those two things are all that seem to matter. Money and power seems to trump everything else. This can be relayed back to the american revolution. Essentially it all started because of taxation. They were not happy about being forced to shell out more money as it violated the theory that taxation without representation is terrible sin. In both cases, money was the catalyst for these conflicts to arise. With all of this devotion and work towards money and power, it leads me to ask a vital and ponderous question. With all of the resources used to destroy each other, what marvelous things could we accomplish if we focused on helping each other instead?
