In order to arm anti-ISIS groups, U.S. military cargo planes sent 50 tons of ammunition to Hasakah province in northern Syria Sunday night. This air drop included small arms ammunition, grenades, and other items. The coalition of rebel groups is referred to by the U.S. as the Syrian Arab Coalition.
This has been the first step in the Obama Administration's effort to support the causes of ISIS rebel groups. The details of the air mission have not been formally announced, but it has been confirmed that all pallets were collected by “friendly forces”.
I think it is important for the U.S. to provide help to those in Syria wanting to stop ISIS. ISIS’s growing numbers have proved a difficult situation for many countries world-wide, and many have come to the decision that we must work together to end this powerful terrorist group.
