Summary: On October 12, 2015 on Walnut Hill Lane, a former Texas A&M player randomly attacked a random jogger on the street. Thomas Linze Johnson says that he had no motive and was just very angry. The poor white male, aged 25-40, has yet to be identified. After the victim was stabbed to death, Johnson walked over to an equestrian center and called 911. He is currently at the Dallas County Jail. Thomas Johnson was in his senior year at college when he was charged for three crimes-evading arrest, burglary of habitation, and auto theft. He was then put on probation.
Analysis: Obviously this an awful event and I am sorry for the family that is soon to hear that a loved one had passed. However, I find it a bit odd that there was no motive behind this attack other than rage. If your'e only motive for killing someone is that you were really angry and needed some relief, I'm sorry, but you need to go to a mental hospital and get some help because you are probably mentally sick. This relates back to another story on August 31, 2015 with a high school student, Robert Clarke, who was charged for murdering his first cousin, Cameron Toles. They had recently had issues involving girls according to their recent Facebook conversations. This is said to be the trigger of the murder.
Both of these situations are awful. The biggest similarity is that they both had an inadequate reason for killing another person. Almost no reason is a good reason to kill someone, but to kill them because you are angry or you had an argument over who gets the girl just seems a bit obscure to me.

ReplyDeleteI also find it very odd that there wasn't motive for the murder of this innocent man just out for a jog. It bugs me to think that if this man that had such a bright future ahead of him could just snap and kill somebody. That victim could've been literally anybody that just happened to be in his way.
it is sad to hear that someone has that much hate and anger in them to kill an innocent person with not even a motive. i hope he is charged and punished for taking this victims life away.
