NEW SPECIES FOUND IN THE HIMILAYAS Julia Woltjen (3rd period)

SUMMARY:
Over the last 6 years scientists have found hundreds of new species in the northern region of the Himalayan Mountains. These mountains span across Northern India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and some of Myanmar. Meaning that this mountain range is huge and very difficult terrain, its no wonder that scientists are just now finding these species. Some of the ones that have been found are the Burmese Snub Nosed Monkey, the Dracula Fish, 133 plants, 39 invertebrates, 26 fish, 10 amphibians, one reptile, one mammal, and one bird.

ANALYSIS:
As you can see that is very extensive list and just shows how much us humans have to learn about our world and our environment. I love this article because it just shows how much we don't know and adds some of the mystery back to the world.
