United Kingdom debates Trump's visit - Katie Schuldenberg

In January 2017, President Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May had a video conference over the future relationships between the U.S. and the U.K., addressing trade deals and NATO. This February, British House of Commons Speaker John Bercow speaks out against Trump's visit to the United Kingdom, stating that their beliefs on sexism, racism, and equality would be damaged if they allowed Trump to spea; Bercow promised to keep Trump from speaking to Parliment. 1.8 million people have signed an online petition to halt Trump's visit. The situation will be discussed by British lawmakers on Monday, February 20, 2017.
This is giving us insight into what other countries are taking from our new President and his morals and policies. Not only might this effect our relationship with the U.K., but with other nations, too, when they see how other countries are responding to Trump.
