Promising New HIV treatment- Austin Wallace

A brand new drug treatment has been show to completely suppress the HIV virus unaided by drugs to the point of indirection. While it was a small trial and many of the patients, while benefitted from the new drug, did not remain undetectable while off the medication. Still, many suffered no response at all. However, the scientists stress that even a small number of people responding this well to the mediation is a tremendous step in the right direction, because now they know that it is possible. If it is possible in one, let alone 5, it is possible in everyone.

This can be synthesized to the advancements in HIV/AIDS made during the aids crisis in the 1980's. A similar trial with similar results to this led to the formulation of many new alternatives to AZT which was often times toxic to people suffering from the disease.
